About

Built for the operators
outside the interstate.

Rural Opportunity Zones 2.0 is a small team of operators, capital allocators, and regional practitioners doing the unglamorous work that turns a designated tract into a real business.

Planning session with a topographic map

Our thesis

The first wave of Opportunity Zones proved the incentive worked. The second wave — RQOZB 2.0 — narrows the aperture to the places that need patient capital the most: rural census tracts, persistent-poverty counties, and the small metros that anchor them.

Getting capital to those places is not a marketing problem. It's an origination and packaging problem. Deals don't fail because investors wouldn't fund them; they fail because nobody put them in front of the right investors, in the right shape, at the right time. That's the gap we close.

What we believe

Operator-first.

The founder building a co-packing facility outside a town of 4,000 is our client. Everything else is downstream of them.

Region-rooted.

We work where our people are — in county seats and rural downtowns, not just in the state capitals that get the press releases.

Capital-fluent.

We speak the language of DDQ, waterfall, and QOF certification without losing the plot: what actually gets built.

Boringly honest.

If a deal isn't real, or a region isn't ready, we say so. That's what makes the yeses worth something.
